“During childbirth, we never forget how we were treated. If we were met with kindness or cruelty. Empowered or stripped of control. Validated or dismissed. We never forget the way we were made to feel during our most vulnerable state.” - The Tea on Birth Trauma

I prepared everything I could for myself and my body to be ready, but the best thing I ever did was have Jessica at my birth as my doula. Jessica was kind, and our personalities really played well together. And I knew from the first moment I met her that this was going to be an incredibly empowering birth for both of us. Jessica let me ask questions, she also asked questions, and she made sure we were on the same page about my birth plan. Jessica met with me a couple of times during pregnancy and about a month before. She really studied and made sure she was aware of my birth plan so my birth could be carried out in the way I wanted, when and if I couldn't speak for myself. She also came to my home postpartum and checked in on me. Jessica was prompt and responsive when it came time for that big day. She was communicating with my partner and was quick to arrive at the birth center following our arrival. She was patient, calm, and kind. In the 6 hours that we were together during my final stages of transition and active labor, Jessica made sure I stayed moving. She assisted me in changing positions, she gave me a massage, put me in and out of the water in the shower and tub, and gave me water. I remember Jessica reading my birth affirmation cards to me and reminding me how close I was to meeting my beautiful little girl. I think we cried together at one point, in pure bliss and joy that this was happening. The best thing Jessica did for me was remind me to breathe. This still does not go unappreciated. She was still so kind and patient with me. Jessica - this was a powerful experience for the both of us, as I know this was a first for both of us. And you rocked it. I speak so highly about you and still feel the sentimental value of having you at my birth. It's taken a year to form the words of how much having you meant to my partner and me.

I'm so grateful I had Jessica as my doula for the birth of my third child! She is incredible and I honestly don't know how I got through my other two births without her! She is an incredible listener, kind, supportive, funny, and incredibly intuitive. I found Jessica doing things - like changing the Pandora full of commercials or bringing me a cool cloth or applying counter pressure - without me even needing to ask. They were the perfect things in the perfect moments. I felt so supported, so seen and so heard during my pregnancy and especially throughout my labor it made my birthing experience everything I could have dreamed of! 10/10 reccomend Jessica!

Jessica was recently my doula during my hospital birth. I am very thankful for her being there. It truly helped during my labor and delivery! Jessica was incredibly supportive, encouraging, caring, gentle, and helped me into a variety of positions to help ease labor and delivery. You can feel her passion of being a doula as she helps support you and be there for you during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. She truly helped make my birth calming and all I envisioned it to be. If you're looking for a doula who is kind, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, passionate, and comforting...Jessica is the doula for you!

As a second-time mom, the whole birthing experience felt overwhelming, because my first experience was so traumatic, but having Jessica by our side was the game-changer we didn't know we needed. Her wealth of knowledge and unwavering support transformed our birth journey into a successful and genuinely positive experience. Jessica's calm and competent demeanor was reassuring; it allowed my husband to catch some much-needed rest while she assisted me with finding comfortable positions in bed. Most importantly, her overnight assistance was a life-saver—literally. With Jessica's help, I was able to conserve energy, which proved invaluable when it was time to push. I cannot express enough how instrumental Jessica was for both my husband and me. We are eternally grateful for her expertise, care, and incredible support throughout this life-changing event. Thank you, Jessica!

Where to even begin … finding a doula is so much more than just finding someone to assist with your birth. To us - finding a doula was finding someone we were adding to our family… someone who was helping play an important role by helping us ensure our birth experience was a positive one .. one where I felt heard …. One where I could look back and feel good about it.
It is no lie that Michael and I did interview a few doulas … however after meeting Jess the first time we knew she was the one. For us she was the perfect balance of understanding & compassionate but also motivating and even stern if I needed her to be and she knew exactly when to be what we needed her to be.
Our labor started off completely unexpected by going into labor almost 2 weeks early and let me just say I wasn’t even sure what all went into going into labor but Jess was there every step of the way and made us feel so comfortable and most importantly INFORMED.
This was a first pregnancy for us and we really had no idea what went into it and some drs / nurses didn’t break it down Barney style like I needed but Jess always made sure we knew what was going on.I can not thank her enough for EVERYTHING she has done and the experience/ memories she helped us create as well as capture during our delivery.
Jess - we are FOREVER thankful for you & following your heart and becoming a doula because I’m not quite sure what we would have done without you. We will be using you for EVERY delivery as our doula but we are also extremely thankful to have gained you as a friend during this.

My experience with Jess was a unique amazing one. I feel as though it was fate that lead her to become my doula!
Our initial conversation was wonderful. She was so warm and easy to talk to. The only reason I didn’t hire her on the spot during our chat was due to scheduling conflicts around the time of my due date and I just didn’t want to chance it.
Fast forward to my third trimester and although, Jess not officially being my doula, she would reach out to check on me and see how I was feeling and how things were going. This to me showed that she truly cared and was such a genuine person.
As I approached nearing the end of my pregnancy- the stars aligned and so did the timeframe - and Jess become my doula after all. It wasn’t the conventional way being I only had her as my doula my last few weeks of pregnancy but I am SO glad I did.
She was such an unwavering support for my husband and I in those last few crucial weeks. I received a lot of pressure by my provider to be induced at the 40 week mark which went against my wishes of a natural physiological birth. Jess was calm and supportive of every decision I made and offered me excellent advice to help me be more confident in my decisions moving forward.
Ultimately I went into labor spontaneously and she was there at all hours of the night via phone for my husband to reach out with any questions or concerns. She is devoted and passionate about her work.
During my labor and birth she was strength and encouragement when I needed it the most without stepping on my husbands toes. She was a source of confidence I don’t think I would have had without her by my side. Through every contraction she kept me focused and helped me to control my breathing. I had the natural hospital birth of my dreams and loved having her by my side.
I would highly recommend Jess to anyone who is looking for doula support. She is a true professional and caring friend! You won’t regret it!
